Sonic Days 2025 – Alfa Audio Soundscape Show Room program
ONSDAG d. 19. november:
9:30 – 10:30 Asbjørn
Asbjørn Guldager will be exploring the creative potential of a richly recorded Cory Henry concert, captured specifically for immersive mixing.
The recording utilized extensive microphone placement, including more than 10 microphones on the piano and another 10 strategically placed around the venue to capture the audience and space. Asbjørn will investigate how to best leverage this massive amount of source material to create an enveloping and dynamic immersive mix.
11:30 -12:30 Rasmus
Rasmus Ravn will be experimenting with how Soundscape can be uniquely applied to electronic music.
He will be presenting a musical piece specifically composed for a large atrium and testing how it translates into the current spatial audio system. The focus is on adapting an existing site-specific immersive piece to a different spatial renderer and exploring the potential for electronic sound design in 3D.
If you are interested in electronic music production, spatial sound design, or exploring creative system capabilities, come by and have a listen!
13:00 – 14:00 Adam
Adam will also be working on a remix of the stunning vocal composition, “A Thousand Voices,” originally mixed for the huge 189-speaker atrium system.
This session explores the major challenge of scaling an ultra-large immersive mix down to a smaller Soundscape system. Adam will experiment with Soundscape’s increased flexibility in panning modes, contrasting them with the volume-only panning used in Spacemap Go, to see how best to preserve the spatial detail of the purely vocal-based composition.
TORSDAG d. 20. november:
9:30 – 10:30: Adam
Join Adam Jensen as he remixes the live Yör concert, which was originally performed the day before at the Student Bar.
This session will test how well the original spatial mix translates directly from the Meyer Sound Spacemap Go system to the d&b audiotechnik Soundscape system. The goal is to explore the consistency and translation of complex immersive mixes across different rendering platforms.
If you are interested in immersive audio, system translation, or mixing for large-scale formats, come by and have a listen!
12:45 – 13:45: Tobias
Tobias Jakobsen will be demonstrating the upmixing of a live concert recorded at the KVAS Festival into an immersive format using Soundscape.
This session explores how the concert music can be placed and manipulated in a three-dimensional space for a richer, more engaging listening experience. The focus is on translating a traditional stereo recording into a spatially mixed immersive format.
If you are interested in live sound, immersive audio, or innovative mixing techniques, come by and have a listen!
14:00 – 15:00 Viktor
Viktor Briand will be demonstrating how he mixes pop music from multitrack stems and places them in d&b’s immersive audio renderer, Soundscape.
The session will showcase how pop productions can be spatially mixed to create a fully immersive listening experience, part of Viktor’s Bachelor project exploring the intersection between AI, ML, stem separation and human touch.
If you’re interested in pop music, immersive audio, or innovative mixing techniques, come by and have a listen!
